If you need to grow a plant for one of your Professor Quests, or if you’re looking to harvest essential Combat Tools like Mandrakes in Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll need a Pot.

Getting your hands on a Potting Table containing one or more Large Pots will let you grow even the game’s largest plants, such as Fluxweed or Venomous Tentacula.

In order to get your hands on a Large Pot in Hogwarts Legacy, you must follow these simple steps:

  1. Purchase a Large Potting Table
  2. Use the Conjuring spell in the Room of Requirement

Having a large potting table is essential for growing potion ingredients such as Fluxweed Stem. This plant is important for creating the Focus potion which will reduce the rate of the cooldown of your spells – but it will only grow in a Large Pot.

Where to Buy Large Pots in Hogwarts Legacy

You can buy a Large Potting Table containing one or more Large Pots from Tomes & Scrolls in Hogsmeade. This table will cost you around 1000 Galleons for a single Large Potting Table or 3000 for a two-pot Large Potting Table.

To buy one, simply talk to Thomas Brown in the shop and purchase “Potting Table With A Large Pot Spellcraft”.

When you have purchased the spellcraft, you will then have the ability to place one in the Room of Requirement.

Of course, if you don’t have enough money to buy the Large Pot Spellcraft, there are some pretty good ways to farm gold in Hogwarts Legacy, that you can follow.

Placing a potting table is a simple process and here are the steps for how to do it:

  • Head to the Room of Requirement.
    • Open your map to Hogwarts, go to Secret Rooms, and travel to the Room of Requirement Floo Flame.
  • Equip and use the Conjuring Spell.
  • Select the Herbology option.
    • This is the leaf icon.
  • On the left-hand side of the Conjuration menu, select the third option to access Large Potting Tables.
  • Select one of the available options and place it on the floor.
    • This will cost you 30 Moonstone

With the table containing your Large Pot now placed and ready to grow some plants, simply head over to the table and interact with it to bring up your seeds.

If you don’t have any seeds available, you can head over to Dogweed & Deathcap to buy some! At this location, you will be able to purchase seeds for the combat plant, Venomous Tentacula.
