How to Fix Warzone Issues on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S

Right now, Warzone has some major issues on Xbox consoles – here’s how to fix the problems and play as normal.

If you, like many others, are experiencing some major issues on Xbox One or Series X/S when trying to play Warzone, there’s a solution.

Right now, Raven Software’s QA department is striking in response to Activision letting go part of its team. And it can’t be a coincidence that Warzone is currently extremely broken in its latest update.

After the most recent patch, Xbox players are freezing when loading Warzone.

And if they do get into the lobby, many Xbox players are experiencing issues matchmaking, or game crashes.

Even in-game, certain Warzone Operators are invisible right now. On top of that, some Warzone weapons are appearing invisible too, making it impossible to aim.

And while there’s no solution to the latter issues, it does appear possible to fix Warzone on Xbox consoles and get things running again.

How to Fix Warzone Not Working on Xbox Consoles

Although we’ll have to wait for Raven Software to put out an official update to the Xbox issues, this temporary fix can get your Warzone running as normal.

On the Warzone subreddit, one user may have found a solution to the Xbox issues in-game.

According to the Reddit user, Warzone will work smoothly so long as players do not use the Xbox interface. With that in mind, here are some tips to keep your Warzone game from crashing:

  • Don’t use your Home button.
  • If you experience a game freeze at the RICOCHET logo on start-up, simply wait it out.
  • Get in your Party Chat before loading the game.
  • Load Warzone entirely before attempting to group up.
  • Then use only the in-game social menu to join friends (don’t invite).
  • Don’t sprint or slide into Buy Stations to prevent freezing.
  • Remove your in-game watch to prevent your guns from glitching.

It’s fair to say that these fixes probably won’t work for everyone. And without a major patch from Raven Software, Xbox users are going to be having a hard time enjoying Warzone.

It’s also impossible for some users to unlock the Welgun in Warzone right now, so don’t bother beginning your grind.

But at least new evidence suggests that Warzone aimbots are getting shut down with an in-game damage reduction. Over the last few weeks, we’ve seen Activision stopping major cheat providers from distributing their hacks.

So why are cheaters currently ruining Warzone in Caldera? We can only hope that a solution is in the works for that too.

Still having trouble with the guns not loading in, I can always tell when the guns won’t load in, no circle to start the game, and get kicked or it freezes before the chopper ride
