Fortunately, there is a really easy fix to this bug that will take you no time at all. Keep reading to learn all about it.
Warzone 2 “Unlock Veteran Raid Mode” Solution
If you’ve encountered the “unlock Veteran Raid mode” glitch in Warzone 2, follow this very simple solution:
- Completely close Warzone 2.
- If you are on PC, check Task Manager to ensure it’s not running in the background.
- Restart Warzone 2.
- Start a new Warzone 2 match.
This easy solution has worked for a number of players and seems to rectify the “unlock Veteran Raid mode” issue.

However, if this doesn’t fix the glitch for you and you continue to see “unlock Veteran Raid mode” whenever trying to join a match, you should try the following:
- Search for and join a party to allow another user to start the match.
- Check for updates.
- Uninstall and reinstall Warzone 2.
Unfortunately, until this issue is fixed by Raven Software, these are the only available solutions. You can check its official Trello Board to see when it will address the Veteran Raid mode glitch.
What Causes the Warzone 2 Veteran Raid Mode Locked Error?
It is currently unclear what causes the “unlock Veteran Raid mode” glitch. It is most likely an issue with the game and not players, especially considering how restarting it seems to remove the bug.
However, some users believe it is to do with the recent Totally the Same playlist update, which has already caused anger in the Warzone 2 community.
Regardless, this glitch should be officially patched out by Raven Software soon. Until then, hopefully these fixes will resolve the Veteran Raid mode locked error for you and get you back into the game.
