To find Rococo the niffler in the Rescuing Rococo side quest, you must head to Henrietta’s Hideaway, which is at the southeast end of the map.

Next, head inside the Hideaway, and solve the two block puzzles to reveal the secret room where Rococo, the magical beast, is hiding. Your reward will be the Niffler Fur-Lined Hat collectible.

Both puzzles require you to place a red and a purple block on pressure plates. You’ll need to cast Confringo on the red block, Glacius on the first purple block, and Levioso on the second one.

How to Find Henrietta’s Hideaway

  1. You’ll first need to talk to Agnes Coffey in Bainburgh to start the quest. Once you’ve done that, head to the location marked on the map below to get to Henrietta’s Hideaway.

  1. Once there, you’ll need to defeat a difficult group of Ashwinders, including the Infamous Foe Dunstan Trinity. So, bring plenty of Wiggenweld Potions
  2. Finally, after defeating them, turn right at the entrance of the Hideaway and head towards the Merlin Trial.
  3. Go down the stairs next to it to access the inside of Henrietta’s Hideaway.

How to Solve the First Block Puzzle in Rescuing Rococo in Hogwarts Legacy

  1. First, you’ll need to use Confringo or Incendio on the bowl in front of the statue on the left of the room to reveal a block.

  1. Next, use Wingardium Leviosa to move the block onto the left circular marking on the floor located in front of the wall. To activate the block, use Confringo or Incendio on it.

  1. Finally, use the Glacius spell on the block on the right to light it up and reveal the door. This door leads to the Hippogriff Room.
  2. Before heading through the door to access the next puzzle, you can also use Confringo or Incendio on the bowl in front of the statue on the right to reveal a chest with loot inside.

The secret door will be revealed by casting Glacius on the right block and Confringo or Incendio on the left block.

Where to Go in the Hippogriff Room & How to Get Past the Moving Ground

  1. Once you enter the Hippogriff room, you’ll need to take out a challenging group of Ashwinders blocking your way.
  2. After defeating them, head past the Hippogriff statue and go up the stairs on the left.
  3. Then, turn right and go down the passageway to the very end until you reach the moving ground.

  1. If you try and go past the moving ground, it will teleport you back, preventing you from passing through. To stop this, aim at the ground and use Arresto Momentum on it. Once you do this, you will be able to walk through it.

How to Solve the Second Block Puzzle in Rescuing Rococo in Hogwarts Legacy

  1. Before you can solve the second block puzzle, make sure to take out the next group of Ashwinders in your way. The easiest way to do this is to sneak around and use Petrificus Totalus on them.

  1. Next, on the left side of the room, before the statue, you’ll notice two markings on the floor to put blocks.
  2. The first block is on the balcony on the left side of the room. To get it, head up the stairs on the right, cast Wingardium Leviosa on it to drag it down, and then place it on the left marking.

  1. To get the second block, go through the archway underneath the balcony on the right and walk through the wall furthest away from the statue.

  1. Inside the secret room, you’ll find the Musical Map needed for the Solved by the Bell quest and the fire block behind two barrels by the stairs. Use Wingardium Leviosa on the block and bring it out of the room and place it on the righthand marking.

  1. Finally, cast Confringo or Incendio on the block on the right and Levioso on the block on the left.
  2. Head through the door and use your Nab-sack to rescue Rococo the niffler.

Rococo will run around when you approach him. You can use Levioso or Arresto Momentum to stun him first.

How to Leave Henrietta’s Hideaway & Complete the Rescuing Rococo Quest

  1. Stand on the pedestal to the right of the chest, and you’ll be transported to the first room. Turn left and head back up the stairs to the exit.

Don’t forget to open the chest first before you leave.
  1. To complete the Rescuing Rococo questline, head back to Agnes Coffey in Bainburgh. After talking to her, you’re presented with three options.
  2. Here are the options and what rewards you get:
    • “Of course,” (Give Rococo to Agnes) – you get the Niffler Fur-Lined Hat Collectible.
      “For a fee,” (Give Rococo to Agne for a fee) – you get the Niffler Fur-Lined Hat Collectible and 300 Galleons.
      “I’m keeping him.” (Don’t give Rococo to Agnes) – you keep Rococo, and you get you the Niffler Fur-Lined Hat Collectible.
