If you want to complete the Pokedex in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you’ll need to know how to evolve plenty of the Pokemon in the game. This is because not all of them can spawn in the wild.
One Pokemon that can only be obtained through evolution is Maushold and, even then, its evolution method is unique!

Maushold Types – Family of 4 & Family of 3
There are two different types of Maushold in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The common one is a family made up of 4 mice but there is a family of 3 variant too.
The chance of getting a family of 3 variant of Maushold is around 1/25. There is no way of guaranteeing which version of Maushold you get either – it’s just up to luck.
It is also worth noting that these variants are purely just cosmetic differences and the stats are exactly the same.
