There’s a brand-new Mankey evolution in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet – here’s how to evolve Primeape into Annihilape!
If you’re exploring the Paldea region for the first time, there are a few new additions to your Pokedex that have never been seen before.
Although there are a lot of brand-new Pokemon available in the Spain-inspired region, there are also a few new evolutions for classic ‘mons. One iconic Pokemon line to receive some love was the Mankey evolution tree, which finally got the final form it always deserved.

How to Evolve Primeape Into Annihilape
To evolve Primeape into Annihilape, trainers must get their Pokemon to use the unique attack Rage Fist 20 times in total, then level it up once. Once these requirements are complete, Primeape will evolve into Annihilape, a Fighting/Ghost-Type Pokemon and Mankey’s final evolution.
- First, catch a Primeape in Scarlet & Violet (check its possible locations below)
- Then use the Rage Fist attack 20 times in total (use an Ether if you run out of PP)
- Finally, level up Primeape once through combat or an Exp. Candy
- It will now evolve into Annihilape!
This is only currently possible in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, the game where Rage Fist made its debut.
There is no level requirement needed to evolve Primeape into Annihilape, it only needs to level up a single time after using Rage Fist 20 times in total.
