Duraludon just got a well-deserved evolution, allowing trainers to evolve the Dragon/Steel-Type into Archaludon in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.
What’s more ridiculous than a Pokemon that looks like a building, you ask? Why, a Pokemon that looks like a bridge, of course!
Fans of Duraludon will be happy to hear that its long-awaited evolution is finally here – here’s how to get Archaludon in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.
How to Evolve Duraludon Into Archaludon
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet trainers can evolve Duraludon into Archaludon by using a new item: Metal Alloy.
This item can be most easily acquired by purchasing it from the Blueberry Academy School Store for 300 BP
To evolve Duraludon, simply select the Metal Alloy from the Other Items category of the Bag and use it on the Pokemon in your party.
This will consume the item and cause Duraludon to evolve into Archaludon.
Currently, this is the only way to get your hands on Archaludon, which does not spawn anywhere in the wild.
However, trainers can also trade with another player to receive the rare Pokemon.
How to Get a Metal Alloy
The easiest way to get a Metal Alloy in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is to purchase it from the Blueberry Academy School Store for 300 BP.
It can also be earned as a reward for registering 180 Pokemon in the Blueberry Pokedex or found as an extremely rare item on the ground in the Terarium.
Players will need to own The Indigo Disk DLC to evolve Duraludon, as there’s no way to get a Metal Alloy without this exclusive item.
- HP: 90
- Attack: 105
- Defense: 130
- Sp. Attack: 125
- Sp. Defense: 65
- Speed: 85
With a stat total of 600, Archaludon can go toe-to-toe with Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon – despite not falling into that category itself.
It’s fair to say that Duraludon finally got its chance to properly shine, no matter what you think of Arcaludon’s design in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.
