Diablo 4 players are excited to jump in and try out the brand new Vampiric Powers in Season 2, but some don’t yet know how to equip or use them.
This is because you can’t access Vampiric Powers until you have reached a certain point in the Season 2 questline. Fortunately, it’s a quest you will encounter early on in the Season of Blood.
Below, we go over how to unlock, equip, and use Vampiric Powers, so you can get to unleash your inner Vampire on the denizens of evil in Diablo 4 Season 2.

How to Unlock Vampiric Powers in Diablo 4 Season 2
To unlock Vampiric Powers in Diablo 4 Season 2, you need to start and complete The Hunter’s Chase quest in the Season of Blood questline.
In The Hunter’s Chase, you will help Hunter Erys defeat a group of monsters in her investigation of the Magistrate’s blood shrine in Ken Bardu.
After you defeat the monsters, you must equip a Vampiric Power to complete the quest. You are then free to equip further Vampiric Powers for the rest of your Season 2 playthrough in Diablo 4.

How to Unlock More Vampiric Powers in Diablo 4
To unlock more Vampiric Powers, you need to purchase them with Potent Blood within the Vampiric Powers Seasonal tab in the Character menu in Diablo 4:

Diablo 4 Vampiric Powers: Pact Types and Pact Armor Explained
Pacts are required to activate any Vampiric Power in Diablo 4 Season 2. Three Pact types can appear on Pact armor.
A Vampiric Power requires a certain number of each Pact type to activate it. Minor Vampiric Powers require at least three Pacts to activate and Major Vampiric Powers require six. You must ensure you have the appropriate number of Pact types on your armor to activate your desired Vampiric Power.
The three Pact types in Diablo 4 Season of Blood are:
- Ferocity
- Divinity
- Eternity

Pact types can appear on Boots, Gloves, Helms, Pants, and Chest armor. To know if you have the right Pact armor, you need to check the Activation Cost of your Vampiric Power.
You can check this by hovering over a Vampiric Power in the character menu and looking under “Activation Cost”:

The above Vampiric Power, Metamorphosis, requires 2 Ferocity, 2 Divinity, and 2 Eternity to activate. If you equip a pair of Legendary Gloves with 1 Ferocity, 1 Divinity, and 1 Eternity, you would need an additional Pact of each type from another Pact armor piece to activate it.

Once the Pact requirements are met, you will be able to use the Vampiric Power in Diablo 4 Season 2!
