Here’s our step-by-step guide to closing down a game on PS5
Step 1 - From your game screen, press the PS button on the DualSense controller.
Step 2 - This will bring up a list of options; the first will be a little house icon.
Step 3 - Click the house icon to return to the PS5 Home Screen.
Step 4 – From the Home Screen, highlight the game app.
Step 5 – Now press the Options button on your DualSense controller.
Step 6 – This will then bring up a menu featuring various options; select Close App and confirm.
If you follow these simple instructions, this will allow you to close down a game on PS5. Essentially, it needs to be completed from the home screen, like it did on PS4.
