To check your Target Gift Card balance, you need to head to their official card balance checker web page and input your card number and access number.
Although to check your balance online, you must have a Target account. You will need to create one to access the gift card balance if you don’t.
- Have your Target Gift Card in hand and information at the ready.
- Go to Target.com and log in to your account.
- Head to the official Target card balance checker web page.
- Enter your 15-digit card number and 8-digit access number in the prompts.
- You can find both values on the back of the gift card underneath a metallic strip. Peel off the strip to reveal them.
- After both values are entered, select “Check Balance.”
Once you’ve completed all these steps, the page will refresh, and when it loads up again, it’ll display your current gift card balance if all the information is valid.

How to Find Target Gift Card Access Number
To find the Target Gift Card access number, you need to flip your card and remove the metallic strip on the bottom of the card. This will reveal both the card number and access number that you need.
Here is how you find the access number for the physical gift card:
- Flip your gift card and face the back of it.
- Remove the metallic strip covering the bottom of the gift card.
- You’ll see two sets of numbers.

- The bottom one labeled Access Number is what you’re looking for.
