Whether you’re painting turf in Turf Wars, or saving the world in the Story mode in Splatoon 3, you need to look stylish while doing it!
But what if you chose the wrong options when you first played Splatoon 3, and want to change your character’s look?
How to Switch Between Inkling and Octoling in Splatoon 3?
You can change between Inkling or Octoling by selecting the Player Settings option in the Splatoon 3 options menu.
This button can be found in the Options menu, in the Other section. It’s the option right at the bottom.

After pressing this Player Settings button, you’ll be taken back to the intro scene of Splatoon 3, where you can change from Inkling to Octoling or vice versa. You can also change your gender, hair, eye color, trousers, and Salmonid’s hair.
While you’re in this Options menu, we recommend optimizing your game to have the best settings in Splatoon 3!

But what about your style? Can you change your clothing in Splatoon 3?
How to Customize Your Character’s Clothing in Splatoon 3
Players can purchase headwear, shoes, and clothing in any of Splatoon 3’s major shops!
While you can enter the doors of any of these locations, we recommend pressing the “X” button to open the map. Once here, click any of the options in the middle to take yourself instantly to that shop.

Once here, you can spend any of your hard-earned Catalog Points to purchase clothing. Not only does each piece of gear have a unique look, but they also have some skills attached that can make you better in Splatoon 3!
You should also head to the weapons shop to pick up some Dualies and find out how to dodge roll in Splatoon 3.

Over time, as you level up, you’ll unlock new pieces of clothing to purchase. So, keep checking back in the shops to see what has become available!
