Another Gen 9 Pokemon has arrived in Pokemon GO – here’s how you can catch Smoliv!
The Pokedex in Pokemon GO is constantly expanding, and plenty of Gen 9 Pokemon are getting added to the game in the current season, Adventures Abound.
The latest addition is Smoliv, the Olive Pokemon. Fortunately, it is pretty easy to catch, and there is more than one way to get one during the 2023 Harvest Festival event!
Every Way to Catch Smoliv in Pokemon GO 2023 Harvest Festival
You can catch Smoliv during the Harvest Festival event through the following methods:
- Find a wild Smoliv while adventuring and catch it
- Earn a Smoliv encounter by completing the ‘Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokemon’ Harvest Festival Field Research Task
These methods will work throughout the whole of the 2023 Harvest Festival event. This is running from 10 AM local time on October 12 until 8 PM local time on October 17.
Following the 2023 Harvest Festival event, it is not known precisely when or how Smoliv will next be available to catch in Pokemon GO.
Despite this, we expect to see it be a wild spawn in the near future like the other recently added Gen 9 ‘Mon!
How to Evolve Smoliv into Dolliv & Arboliva in Pokemon GO
To evolve Smoliv into Dolliv in Pokemon GO, you need 25 Smoliv Candy.
Then, to evolve Dolliv into Arboliva in Pokemon GO, you need a further 100 Smoliv Candy.
Fortunately, there are no additional requirements for these evolutions, making it as simple as collecting Candy!
