Switch OLED, Xbox Series X & PS5 Best Buy Restock Tips

Looking to nab a Nintendo Switch OLED, Xbox Series X, or PS5 from Best Buy? Here are some helpful tips to help you checkout successfully.

Create Best Buy Account Early

As ever, the first thing you need to ensure is that you have a Best Buy account already signed in and available. This means that you have your payment information and shipping address confirmed and ready to go.

While you’re at it, make sure you also have the Best Buy app signed in too. You’ll be using both for the easiest way to get a Nintendo Switch OLED, Xbox Series X, or PS5.

Be Patient

When that next Best Buy Xbox Series X/OLED/PS5 restock drops, remember to be patient. Don’t give up at the first signs of trouble.

The reason for this advice is simple: Best Buy’s store may encounter some issues throughout the drop period. But as other buyers leave the site, it becomes far easier to checkout successfully!

Successful checkouts are often seen half an hour or more after the initial drop goes live. Don’t stop trying until restockers are reporting the drop is completely done and dusted.

Best Buy App vs Website

If you’re wondering whether you should be using the Best Buy app or website for best results, the answer is both. It never hurts to try and bag the PS5, Xbox, or OLED on both app and browser.

Then, once you manage to add the device to your cart, try checking out on the other method. You’d be surprised to see how often this trick works!

If You See ‘Please Wait’, Don’t Refresh

Try refreshing your Best Buy page until you see ‘Please Wait’ where the yellow ‘Add to Cart’ button usually is.

From there, don’t refresh anymore. Simply wait until the button changes and you’ll be able to cart the console, even 10 minutes later!

Change Your Store

When checking out, Best Buy might be out of stock in your local retailer. However, it’s possible to change the store you’re looking at from your Cart.

Hit ‘Select a store to see availability’ and you can see other locations in your area have stock right now. Then you’ll be able to hit Checkout.

If there are NO stores available, simply open a new tab on Best Buy’s product page and wait until the ‘Add to Cart’ button is yellow again. When it is, you will have stores available on your initial tab with stock once again!
