If you’re hoping to reach the max level cap in Diablo 4, you will have to invest a lot of time slaying demons.

Fortunately, for the dedicated fan out there, it will mean even more time spent in the gorgeously detailed and blood-soaked world of Sanctuary.

Keep reading to learn how many hours it will take to get one character to the maximum level in Diablo 4.

How Long to Reach Max Level in Diablo 4?

It will take players 150+ hours to reach the max level cap in Diablo 4. This involves completing not only the relatively lengthy main questline but also the enormous amount of endgame content promised.

This was confirmed by Diablo 4’s Associate Game Director, Joseph Piepiora, on Twitter. He replied to a fan’s question about the max level, saying: “Reaching level 100 will take 150+ hours for the average player experience.”

Of course, you can expedite this process slightly by increasing your World Tier. This gives you more experience points in exchange for dealing with more formidable enemies.

However, for the average player, typically playing on either World Tier 2 or 3, it will take upwards of 150 or more hours to hit that level cap.

Fortunately, if you want to reach that level cap with each of the classes, there is a way to entirely skip the story a second time around.

What Is the Max Level in Diablo 4?

The max level you can reach in Diablo 4 is 100. Players will be level 50 by the time they conclude the main story and will have to grind the remaining 50 through learning Paragon Points.

Paragon Points act much like regular skill points and are earned through completing endgame or side content.

They are tied to the Paragon Board, which allows you to upgrade your stats with even greater agency. It is just one aspect of the endgame content that encourages reaching that max level.
