How GTA 5 PS5 & Xbox Series X Remaster Will Be Different To the Orginal

New information has been revealed about how GTA 5 on PS5 and Xbox Series X will improve on the original game.

Grand Theft Auto 5 originally came out way back in 2013 for PS3 and Xbox 360. Developer Rockstar later released it on PS4 and Xbox One, and soon it'll be coming to next-gen consoles too.

Few details are known about the PS5 and Xbox Series X version of GTA 5 so far, but many players assumed it would be a port. However, new details show that the next-gen GTA 5 could be quite different from the one we all know.

Unfortunately, players may have to wait until next year to play it though. The new GTA 5 PS5 trailer suggests that it could be delayed until next year or beyond.

Next-Gen Grand Theft Auto 5 Remaster

The boss of Rockstar's parent company Take-Two, Strauss Zelnick, recently spoke about how Rockstar deals with remastering their games. This information, transcribed by VGC, shed some light on GTA 5.

Zelnick said: "We don’t just port titles over. We actually take the time to do the very best job we can - making the title different for the new release, for the new technology that we’re launching it on."

This strategy is especially encouraging considering that a leak has revealed that some more huge Rockstar remasters could be on the way.

Zelnick also revealed some more details on what kind of changes Grand Theft Auto fans can expect for the next-generation remaster.

But first, make sure you catch up with everything we know so far about GTA 5 on PS5.

Zelnick said: "We improve the technology, we upgrade the visuals, and we make performance enhancements."

This hints at a number of things. Firstly, this could mean that GTA 5 finally gets ray tracing. This will make lighting and reflections way more realistic.

This could also mean higher quality textures, a higher frame rate, and, potentially, even more NPCs on screen at once. Los Santos will surely feel more alive than ever with the GTA 5 remaster on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
