These 16 House Tokens hold the key to a coveted House Robe, a symbol of honor and achievement. The path to these tokens involves capturing 16 flying Daedalian Keys to open cabinets throughout Hogwarts’ halls.

Only those who can outwit and capture these elusive keys will be able to unlock the cabinets that hold the highly sought-after House Tokens, which awards its holder with a valuable reward.

How to Start Daedalian Keys Side Quest in Hogwarts Legacy

The Daedalian Keys in Hogwarts Legacy is a side quest that is triggered by speaking with Nellie Oggspire in the Transfiguration Courtyard after completing the ‘Welcome to Hogwarts’ main quest.

• You can travel here using the Floo Flame: The Astronomy Tower → Transfiguration Courtyard.
• After you speak with her and learn about the keys, you will have to find the first key and open the house cabinet associated with it.
• From there, you will need to head to your house common room and insert the House Token from the cabinet.
• Head back to speak with Nellie Oggspire at the same location.
• Once you have completed the first key, you will then be tasked with finding 15 more throughout Hogwarts Castle.
• However, to access the final House Token, you will need to have Alohomora unlocked.
  • This is unlocked in The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament main story quest about 5 hours into the game.

All House Token Locations in Hogwarts Castle

There are five main locations where House Tokens can be found throughout the castle in Hogwarts Legacy:

• The Astronomy Wing – 5 House Tokens
• The Library Annex – 4 House Tokens
• The Grand Staircase – 1 House Token
• The Great Hall – 3 House Tokens
• The South Wing – 3 House Tokens

We recommend having as many Floo Flame locations unlocked as it will make it easier to travel around quickly.

The Astronomy Wing

• House Token #1 – Floo Flame: The Astronomy Wing → Astronomy Tower
  • The first token is the easiest to find as it is part of the initial segment of The Daedalian Keys quest. You will be shown the direction to go on the map.
  • This token is located on the staircases of the Astronomy Tower, while the cabinet is found in the circular classroom next to the Floo Flame.
  • Once you collect this token, you will need to head back to Nellie Oggspire in the Transfiguration Courtyard and then insert the token into the House Chest by your common room.

• House Token #2 – Floo Flame: The Astronomy Wing → Transfiguration Courtyard
  • Head to the Transfiguration Courtyard and enter the double doors next to the Floo Flame.
  • Go up the stairs to the Rhinoceros skeleton.
  • Chase the key up the stairs to the next floor to the left, and the cabinet will be directly above where the skeleton was.

• House Token #3 – Floo Flame: The Astronomy Wing → Transfiguration Classroom
  • At the Floo Flame, turn around and take the first door on the left.
  • Walk forwards, and you should find the key just in front of the staircase.
  • Follow the key to the top of the staircase, and you will find the cabinet on the top floor.

• House Token #4 – Floo Flame: The Astronomy Wing → Transfiguration Classroom
  • At the Floo Flame, turn around and take the first door on the left.
  • Walk forward and head down the staircase to the bottom and through the door.
  • At the bottom of these stairs, the key will be next to a sleeping dragon statue.
  • Follow the key to the floor directly above the dragon.

• House Token #5 – Floo Flame: The Astronomy Wing → Transfiguration Classroom
  • For this token, follow the same route as #4 but continue past the sleeping dragon to the end of the corridor.
  • The key will be outside the door with the cauldrons.
  • Follow the key to the room to the right, then turn left.
  • Here you will find the cabinet near wooden barrels.

The Library Annex

• House Token #6 – Floo Flame: The Library Annex → Library
  • At the Floo Flame, head to the first set of bookcases on the right side of the room.
  • The key will then lead you to a cabinet directly on the other side of the Floo Flame.

• House Token #7 – Floo Flame: The Library Annex → Central Hall
  • Head down the stairs and then turn right at the fountain.
  • The key will be to the left of the entrance to the Greenhouse near the arched doorway.
  • Follow the key back up the stairs and down the opposite set on the other side of the room.
  • The cabinet will be to the right after going down these steps.

• House Token #8 – Floo Flame: The Library Annex → Potions Classroom
  • At the Floo Flame, head straight through the doors and turn left to find the key by the staircase.
  • Follow the key downstairs to find a cabinet at the bottom.

• House Token #9 – Floo Flame: The Library Annex → Central Hall
  • Head up the stairs all the way until you reach the big doors.
  • Instead of going through them, go to the right side of the room and look behind the staircase for the key.
  • The key will head back down the stairs and to a cabinet on your right on the floor just below.

The Grand Staircase

• House Token #10 – Floo Flame: The Grand Staircase → Grand Staircase
  • At the Floo Flame, head up four flights of stairs on The Grand Staircase.
  • The key will then lead back down to the floor above the Floo Flame by a puzzle door.

The Great Hall

• House Token #11 – Floo Flame: The Great Hall → Viaduct Courtyard
  • Head up the stairs to the courtyard and then through the big doors to the right.
  • On the right, you will see the cabinet, and the key will be on the floor above the Hogwarts crest.

• House Token #12 – Floo Flame: The Great Hall → Great Hall
  • This key will be directed to the left after traveling to this Floo Flame near the fireplace.
  • Follow the key to the opposite side of the entrance and up some stairs.

• House Token #13 – Floo Flame: The Great Hall → Great Hall
  • At the Floo Flame, head right and go through the double doors.
  • Head down the stairs on the right, past a statue, and go through the archway to find the key.
  • Follow the key down the stairs to the Quad Courtyard, turning left at the bottom and the right.
  • The cabinet is in the back right corner.

The South Wing

• House Token #14 – Floo Flame: The South Wing → Faculty Tower
  • At the Floo Flame, turn around and head into the tower to the door on the right.
  • Head up the stairs.
  • The key will be located on the first floor.
  • Follow the key back to a cabinet at the bottom of the stairs.

• House Token #15 – Floo Flame: The South Wing → The Hospital Wing
  • At the Floo Flame, head down the stairs to the next floor.
  • The key can be found in the corridor of portraits to the right.
  • Turn back to the stairs, and you will find the cabinet near the statue.

• House Token #16 – Floo Flame: The South Wing → Clock Tower Courtyard
  • At the Floo Flame, head through the locked door on the left and head up the stairs.
  • The key will be located on the first floor.
  • Follow the key all the way upstairs then to find the final cabinet.

Reward for Collecting House Tokens in Hogwarts Legacy

After acquiring all 16 keys and House Tokens in Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll gain access to the House Chest located within your House Common Room.

Opening this chest will reward you with a Relic House Robe from the house you initially selected!
