Getting to the horse quest in Diablo 4 will take you a considerable amount of time. However, the reward of galloping across the grimdark world of Sanctuary is incredibly fulfilling.
Fortunately, for those in the dark on exactly how long it will take them to finally unlock a horse in Diablo 4, we’ve got you covered.
When Do You Unlock the Horse Quest in Diablo 4?
Players will unlock the horse quest, called Mount: Donan’s Favor, at the beginning of Act 4 in Diablo 4. It should take you between 10 to 15 hours to reach this point.
It is a Priority Quest that players will be given after completing the final Act 3 quest, A Master’s Touch.
Depending on what World Tier you’re playing on and the amount of side content you engage with, you should be around level 30.
You must finish all of Acts 1, 2, and 3 in order to unlock Act 4. However, it does not matter which order you complete them in.

How Do You Unlock the Horse in Diablo 4?
To unlock a horse in Diablo 4, you must complete the horse quest, Mount: Donan’s Favor. After starting the quest, do the following:
- Head to Kyovashad.
- Talk to Oskar at the Stables.
- Select the dialogue option: “I’m a friend of Donan’s. He said you could provide a horse.”
- You will complete the mission and unlock a horse.

Once you’ve completed it, you will receive a basic horse for free. Additionally, you will gain access to any applicable pre-order horse bonuses.
Mount: Donan’s Favor is a very easy mission to complete, as it just requires you to talk to Oskar. However, in order to gain access to this mission, you must first complete the quest A Master’s Touch.
After unlocking a horse, you will be able to use it across all characters on your account. This will mitigate the need to unlock it again if you start with a new character.
