Horizon Forbidden West Release Date & Pre-Order Details Announced at Gamescom 2021

Guerrilla Games has finally announced the release date for the highly anticipated PlayStation exclusive Horizon Forbidden West.

Horizon Zero Dawn was one of the very best games of the last generation, so it makes sense that the sequel is so highly anticipated. However, the development of the game has been far from smooth.

Despite initial plans to release it in 2021, it was recently rumored that Horizon Forbidden West would be delayed until 2022. Although, there was still no release date for the game.

Luckily, developer Guerrilla Games has finally announced the release date for Horizon Forbidden West, and it’s coming pretty early next year!

Horizon Forbidden West Relase Date – Delay Confirmed

Aloy’s next adventure is a truly ambitious game. You can see that from all of the new Horizon Forbidden West gameplay features.

What’s more, Guerilla is developing the game for both PS4 and PS5, with there being some huge differences between each version of the game.

Unfortunately, the ambition of the studio combined with the pandemic disrupting development has, inevitably, caused a delay. Although, luckily, we now have a release date.

Horizon Forbidden West will be releasing on February 18, 2022. Additionally, the pre-orders will be going live soon.
