Honkai: Star Rail is filled with interesting characters for players to acquire, but the Trailblazer will be the main player in everyone’s adventure.
As a gacha-style game, players will be rolling to acquire new party members on a regular basis in Honkai: Star Rail. But there’s one character that will be appearing in every single game and featuring heavily in the title’s storyline.
Who Is the Main Character in Honkai Star Rail?
Honkai: Star Rail’s protagonist is known as the Trailblazer.
At the beginning of the game, Stellaron Hunters members Kafka and Silver Wolf activate the Trailblazer’s receptacle, waking them up in the Herta Space Station to help battle against the Antimatter Legion.
Every player will receive the Trailblazer as a permanent playable character near the start of the game’s storyline.

Both their Path and Element are adaptive, meaning the Trailblazer can fill any role in your party with ease. However, at the start of the game, the Trailblazer will begin with The Destruction Path and the Physical Element.
Can You Choose Your Protagonist’s Gender?
Yes, near the beginning of their Honkai: Star Rail adventure, players will be able to choose between Receptacle X (male) or Receptacle Y (female) forms for the Trailblazer.
They will also be able to choose the unit’s Codename, allowing players to name them however they choose.

Who is the Trailblazer’s Voice Actor in Honkai: Star Rail?
The Trailblazer’s Japanese voices are provided by Junya Enoki (male) and Yui Ishikawa (female).
Junya Enoki is known for their role as protagonist Yuji Itadori in Jujutsu Kasien, as well as Pannacotta Fugo in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.
He’s also no stranger to video game voice acting, having starred in the likes of Octopath Traveller 2 as Crick, and the Shin Megami Tensei series as Demi-Fiend.

Yui Ishikawa is a talented voice actress known for her role as Mikasa Ackerman in Attack on Titan, as well as the character Violet Evergarden in the anime of the same name.
Like Enoki, Ishikawa also has a rich history of video game performances, including a notable role as 2B in Nier: Automata.

Details regarding the Trailblazer’s English VAs have not currently been revealed. However, the character does have English voice lines recorded.
We’ll update this article when the voice actors get the credit they deserve.
