If you want to add Kafka to your Honkai Star Rail team, you’ll need the right materials to ensure she reaches the highest level possible and her skills are maxed out.
Rolling for a character is only a part of adding them to your team. Once that character is on your roster, you need to level them up and upgrade their skills using Trace and Accession materials.
This guide will break down just how many Trace and Accession Materials you’ll need to max out Kafka’s level and skills. We’ll also show you where to farm for these materials.
Kafka Accession Materials
If players want to reach Level 80 with Kafka in Honkai Star Rail, they’ll need the following materials:
Trace Material | How to Obtain |

Kafka’s Kit Explained – All Abilities
Kafka is a 5-Star Lightning Nihility character that constantly uses Damage Over Time (DoT) to chip away at the enemy’s health. Her abilities include:
Ability Name | Effect |
---|---|
Midnight Tumult (Basic Attack) | Deals Lightning Damage to a single enemy. |
Caressing Moonlight (Skill) | It deals Lightning Damage to all enemies with a 100% chance to Shock everyone it hits. The Shock DoT lasts for 2 turns. |
Twilight Trill (Ultimate) | If an ally uses their Basic Attack, Kafka will launch a follow-up attack that increases the DoT (if possible) of the effects on the enemy, and deals Lightning Damage. |
Mercy Is Not Forgiveness (Technique) | Shocks enemies for 3 Turns. Deals lightning damage as soon as the battle begins. |
Gentle but Cruel (Talent) | If an ally uses their Basic Attack, Kafka will launch a follow-up attack that increases the DoT (if possible) of the effects on the enemy and deals Lightning Damage. |
Players can upgrade these Kafka abilities using the Trace materials in Honkai Star Rail to obtain even more powerful effects.

Players will need to get Kafka from the Character Event Warp multiple times in order to obtain Eidolon levels in Honkai Star Rail.
This means that to get her to Eidolon Level 6, players will need to pull Kafka a total of seven times. Unfortunately, if you’re unlucky with your pulls, then it can take up to 1,260 warps before you get her to E6.
