Honkai Star Rail 1.4 Release Date

Honkai Star Rail 1.4’s release date should be October 11, 2023 at 4 AM server time.

Not only does this date match the existing update schedule, it’s also the confirmed release date of Honkai Star Rail’s PS5 port.

Here are the time zones that each server is tied to:

• America: GMT-5
• Asia: GMT+8
• Europe: GMT+1
• TW, HK, MO: GMT+8

This means there are until we see Honkai: Star Rail Update 1.4 go live in the US.

If the developer reveals an official date, we’ll update this article.

Honkai Star Rail 1.4 Banners

HoYoverse has already teased three new characters which are likely coming to the game in Honkai: Star Rail 1.4:

• Topaz & Numby
• Guinaifen

And while the developer hasn’t confirmed that this is when the newly-announced faces will arrive, it seems likely given that they were revealed prior even to 1.3’s release.

Here’s a closer look at each of the new characters allegedly coming in the game’s next major update:

Jingliu

• Rarity: 5-Star
• Path: The Destruction
• Element: Ice

Jingliu was the former master of Jing Yuan, the current general of the Xianzhou Alliance’s Cloud Knights. She trained the boy from a young age, shaping him into a powerful warrior.

However, after being stricken by Mara and losing herself to madness, Jingliu battled her former student and was defeated.

Jingliu is leaked to arrive first in Honkai Star Rail 1.4. If true, this would put the character’s release date as October 11, 2023.

Topaz & Numby

• Rarity: 5-Star
• Path: The Hunt
• Element: Fire

Topaz is the Senior Manager of the Strategic Investment Department in the Interastral Peace Corporation, as well as the leader of the Special Debts Picket Team.

Numby is Topaz’s partner and friend, a Warp Trotter capable of sniffing out ‘riches’. It assists Topaz in her work as they travel the cosmos together, tracking down debts and liabilities.

Topaz and her companion Numby appear to be our second 5-Star coming to Honkai Star Rail 1.4. The update’s second wave of content should arrive on November 1, 2023.

Guinaifen

• Rarity: 4-Star
• Path: The Nihility
• Element: Fire

A good friend of Sushang who ended up residing on the Xianzhou by accident, Guinaifen is a ‘passionate and vivacious street performer.’

With talents including eating noodles upside down, smashing stones on the chests of others, and catching projectiles with her bare hands, Guinevere (named Guinaifen by Sushang) makes her living by entertaining the Luofu.

While it’s unclear as to which character’s banner Guinaifen will make her debut in, we expect her to arrive alongside the other Fire element character, Topaz, on November 1.

Will There Be a New World in 1.4?

It’s likely that Honkai Star Rail will allow players to visit a new world in 1.4: Penacony. Initially, this world was set to be the Astral Express’ next stop after Jarilo-VI, but Kafka’s report of a Stellaron eruption on Xianzhou Luofu changed the train’s course.

Now that the story of the Xianzhou Luofu wrapped up in 1.2, with something of an epilogue in 1.3, it appears that Himeko is indicating that we’re on track for Penacony in 1.4!

Penacony is known as the Planet of Festivities, inhabited by the Family – a faction that follows Xipe, the Aeon of Harmony.
