Players will need to make potions in Hogwarts Legacy to heal themselves, increase their spell attack and overall defense, and cast lightning to hurt enemies.
They can do this by bringing the required ingredients for each of the six potions in Hogwarts Legacy to a Potions Station in the Room of Requirement.
It’s worth noting that to make potions, you need to complete Professor Sharp’s first Potions Class or have unlocked the Room of Requirement, which happens in mission 18.
To make a potion, you’ll need to pick up the right spellcrafts, potion recipes and ingredients. But don’t worry, as we’ll go over how to get each one in the guide below:

How to Brew Potions
To brew a potion in Hogwarts Legacy, buy a Potion Station spellcraft from Tomes and Scrolls in Hogsmeade and a potion recipe from J. Pippins Potions, also in Hogsmeade.
Then, summon your Potion Station in the Room of Requirement, and interact with it. Finally, choose from the available potion recipes you’ve bought and craft them using the required ingredients.
You can get the ingredients by either growing them yourself in a pot or purchasing them from the Magic Neep shop in Hogsmeade.

It is worth noting that you get a Small Potions Station for free when you unlock the Room of Requirement. However, it brews one potion at the time, and is therefore very ineffective.
It is recommended that you purchase a bigger Potion Station spellcraft to speed up the potion brewing process, but it is not strictly necessary.
