Early Access for Hogwarts Legacy, as well as other DLC and Bonus Content, has been found recently in a new leak, suggesting different editions of the game will be available.
While the Community Manager for Hogwarts Legacy teased more content coming soon, we have yet to see anything groundbreaking.
We did get a tease of the Floo Powder fast travel mechanic. But, many anticipated players are desperate for more news. And fans are hoping to explore the open world of Hogwarts soon.
Well, Harry Potter and Wizarding World fans, a new leak has revealed some exciting bonus content and DLC for Hogwarts Legacy.
Leak Reveals Hogwarts Legacy Pre-Order Bonuses, Extra Content, & Early Access
Thanks to a user on the r/HarryPotterGame subreddit, a bunch of pre-order bonuses and extra content, including Early Access, has been leaked.
Found within the source code of the game’s website, Harry Potter fans could find some interesting content for different editions of the game.
Currently, eight items have been found in the source code. However, two of these items are likely to be physical bonuses as opposed to in-game.
The list of items is as follows:
- Thestral Mount
- Dark Arts Cosmetic Pack
- Dark Arts Battle Arena
- Dark Arts Garrison Hat
- 72 Hours Early Access to the Game
- Kelpie Robe
- Steel Case
- Floating Ancient Magic Wand with Book

Interestingly. there are mentions of at least two editions for the game. The source code has labels for “Digital Only” and “Digital Deluxe Only”. Unfortunately, we aren’t sure which label applies to what content.
Users are already speculating that the Thestral Mount could relate to the story of the Harry Potter game. After all, Thestrals are only visible to those who have witnessed death.
If it is indeed a pre-order bonus, the mount will likely be available close to the start of the game, implying that our protagonist could already have seen their parents or someone close to them die. But a Thestral is not the only rideable Fantastic Beast in Hogwarts Legacy.
User u/opalelement, who found the source code, believes that the Steel Case is a Steelbook, possibly exclusive to Best Buy. Alongside that, they believe that the Floating Ancient Magic Wand could be another physical bonus, as it is after the Steel Case in the code.

But the real highlight is the 72 hours of early access to the anticipated Harry Potter game. It’s likely that those who pre-order a certain edition will be able to play three days earlier than other players.
While the bonus content and DLC are likely accurate, Harry Potter fans should take this with a pinch of salt. Bonus content is always subject to change, and they could shift around and remove items when they want.
