Halo Infinite Season 2 Blog Reveals Weapon Balancing, Melee Fixes, Maps & Game Modes

After a long period of silence, 343 Industries has revealed many Halo Infinite Multiplayer’s Season 2 details through its blog!

It’s safe to say that Halo Infinite Season 1 has been just a little lackluster, but 343 has more to reveal about the game’s launch.

Recently, fans have been doing little but complaining about Halo Infinite. At the time of writing, the Fracture: Tenrai event is back for the fifth time, and we’re still waiting on the roadmap that was originally slated for January.

In addition, it seems that fans are calling Halo Infinite desync ‘worse than ever’, meaning that the game is difficult to enjoy at times.

And while the Halo Infinite player count begins to hit a new low, we’ve still got another month to wait for Season 2.

Thankfully, at least we know what’s coming in Halo Infinite Season 2, with new maps, game modes, and more!

Halo Infinite Season 2 Upcoming Changes

Today, 343 Industries released a lengthy blog post explaining several weapons balancing changes, melee fixes, maps, and game modes coming to Halo Infinite Multiplayer Season 2 on May 3.

Halo Infinite Season 2 – All Blog Post Changes & Fixes

  • Weapon, Equipment, and Vehicles Balancing
    • Ravager’s base shot increased damage
    • Drop Wall slight performance increase
    • Slightly increase in shielding for Overshield
    • Chopper collision damage increased
    • Banshee Agility and Damage increased
    • Warthog and Razorback are more resistant to flipping and bouncing
  • Melee Fixes
    • 10% global melee damage decrease on all weapons (Mangler now requires two shots and a beatdown for a kill)
    • Networking solutions are in place to make melee fights consistent, leading to less phasing and whiffing
  • Multiplayer Arena, BTB, Forge, and Matchmaking Changes
    • New Arena map Catalyst and Big Team Battle map Breaker added to several playlists on Season 2 day one
    • King of the Hill and Attrition added to several playlists
    • Players will be able to move as soon as they spawn back in Attrition
    • Motion Tracker outer edge detection enabled in social playlists for shooting and sprinting
    • Jeff Steitzer’s voice returns for player-earned medal announcements
    • Issue causing asymmetrical Weapon Rack spawn addressed
    • CSR progression bar now represents progress made in the most recent match
    • Solved many Custom Game bugs
  • PC Adjustments
    • Stability problems solved, eliminating dozens of possible crashes

But while we’re still waiting on a new Halo development or two, leaks are coming in hot. The Halo Infinite Infection mode is leaking early, and we can’t wait to play it.

What’s more, it’s looking as though 10 maps are in development for Halo Infinite right now, if these rumors prove correct.

But with the absolutely insane-looking Halo Infinite Forge leaks, we might not need to wait for 343 to make the maps for too much longer.
