In today’s Halo Infinite Season 2 Livestream, we got our first look at the full Lone Wolves Battle Pass and a mysterious teaser that hacked the stream.
Halo Infinite just had a brand-new community Livestream, focussing on Season 2. This will be the first major Halo update since Infinite launched early in November 2021, and it’s a well-needed content drop.
Recently, we learned more about all game modes coming to Halo Infinite Season 2, including Last Spartan Standing. And it finally sounds like 343 Industries is starting to give us some of our favorite ways to play.
But the biggest news right now isn’t getting announced anytime soon – if it’s even real! In recent weeks, leaks for the long-awaited Halo Infinite Battle Royale have been dropping hot.
Although not every Halo fan is looking for a BR to join the game, it’s worth noting that there appears to be a completely separate studio developing the mode. And judging by these Halo Infinite Battle Royale settings, this is going to be one massive experience.
But before that surfaces, if it ever does, 343 Industries has more to reveal about Halo Infinite Season 2.
Halo Infinite Season 2 – Seasonal Narrative & Drop Pods
We’re finally getting more information about Halo Infinite Season 2 and its potential narrative, courtesy of a brand-new Livestream.
The broadcast began with 343 Industries stating that their current priorities are shipping out Season 2 Lone Wolves and quality of life improvements for the current Halo Infinite player base.
These QOL improvements will be shipped out through what 343 is called Drop Pods.
Drop Pods will be updates to Halo Infinite that will be released more frequently than seasonal updates. 343 hopes to reach a pace where Drop Pods are delivered monthly.
Then 343 Industries gave us our first look at the Season 2 Lone Wolves intro cinematic! It showcases two Spartans returning from a mission in critical condition.
343 teased that these Spartans may have found something dangerous out in the field and brought it back into the main base. It will be interesting to see what the full cinematic reveals when Season 2 of Halo Infinite drops.
In the broadcast, the Halo Infinite team also gave us a visual walkthrough of the 2 new maps coming to Season 2 at launch.
As well as a first look at the contents of the Season 2 Lone Wolves Battle Pass.
Halo Infinite Season 2: Lone Wolves Battle Pass & Teaser
Players will now be able to earn a battle core through the free progression of the battle pass.
The battle pass will also include 1000 Credits that players will be able to earn as they progress through the premium tiers.
343 Industries has also entirely removed consumables and emblems for the premium battle pass tiers.
Players will also be able to switch between Battle Passes that they have purchased. Only premium pass holders will have this option. Players that only have the free pass will not be able to switch between battle passes.
While 343 Industries showcased the battle pass content, the live stream was hacked in what seems to be a teaser of what’s to come in Halo Infinite Season 2.
When it comes to Halo Infinite Season 2’s Fracture event, the Entrenched Armor Core is looking like a must-have.
343 Industries is also looking to add customization options to allow players more freedom when it comes to Spartans.
They hope to do away with the Core System as Season 2 progresses.
Thankfully, it looks like the upcoming Battle Pass is also far better than the first one. In fact, all these incredible cosmetics are coming to Halo Infinite Season 2’s Battle Pass when the update drops.
