The desync in Halo Infinite is still as game-ruining as ever and players are desperate for improvements to come soon!
There are plenty of things that can go wrong with online multiplayer games but server desync is definitely one of the most frustrating.
Unfortunately, players have been reporting major desync issues in Halo Infinite Multiplayer since day 1.
In case you don’t know, desync is when the server does not register exactly where you are on the map. This means that the game could think you are in a completely different place from where you are on your screen.
Not only does this make the same feel laggy or unresponsive at times but it also causes major issues with enemy collision and hit detection.
Unfortunately, desync is still a problem now and is worse than ever for some unlucky players!
Halo Infinite Desync is Still Ruining Games
Developer 343 Industries has already announced that it is investigating Halo Infinite desync issues however there’s still no date for the fix.
This will come as a major disappointment for many players, especially those who are still suffering from desync. For instance, a new post on the Halo subreddit highlights that desync is just as bad as it ever was.
This is even following the new January 19 update that reduced item shop prices in Halo Infinite.
This clip shows gameplay of two different Halo Infinite players in the same Warthog but desync causes the players to see completely different things on their screens.
The desync is so bad in this instance that one player sees the Warthog fall off a cliff while the other just dies for no apparent reason.
At least they were lucky enough to get into Big Team Battle as the mode still has major matchmaking issues.
Players will be hoping that the fix for these Halo Infinite desync issues arrives very soon. With anti-cheat improvements coming to Halo infinite very soon, 343 Industries might already have its hands full though.
Meanwhile, Cyber Showdown has kicked off 6 weeks of non-stop events in Halo Infinite. This is great news for players who want to unlock some customization items.
And for inpatient Halo fans, we have some exciting new information. A leaker has revealed the release date and rewards for the upcoming Tactical Ops event.
