Halo Infinite may not have a full Campaign at launch, according to a new report which indicates that it could be episodic in nature.
Could Halo Infinite be breaking away from tradition by offering an episodic Campaign experience? A new tweet suggests that this could be the case.
In the past, Halo Campaigns have all been fully-fledged stories, available on Day One. If this new rumor is correct, we could only be seeing part of the story available on Halo Infinite’s launch day.
We also saw a new leak for Halo Infinite’s Battle Royale mode, another first for the franchise. In the past, 343 has been denying rumors about a Halo Battle Royale, but it seems like a Warzone competitor could be in the cards after all.
Now that the Halo Infinite Tech Preview is over, we’ve had a good experience with the game’s upcoming Multiplayer. But we’ve heard very little about the Halo Infinite Campaign over the last few months.

Halo Infinite Won’t Have Its Full Campaign At Launch
According to new reports, Halo Infinite may not have its complete Campaign at launch.
Analyst Roberto Serrano predicts that it may, however, release with the first episode of an episodic Campaign mode. This would then be followed up by other Campaign experiences which come at later dates.
If this is the case, we could be getting Halo Infinite story content coming over the next few years. And early leaks have confirmed the possibility of multiple Campaigns coming with Infinite’s single-player content.
We know that Master Chief has a Campaign, presumably available alongside Halo Infinite’s launch. But it’s entirely possible that this isn’t the end of our story.
After all, we already know that our Halo Infinite Multiplayer spartan has a role to play in the story too. Perhaps a future Halo Infinite Campaign will have us stepping into the shoes of our custom spartan soldier.
“Master Chief is “the heart of Halo.” This is true, and we can’t wait for all of you to play the latest epic and intimate chapter of the Chief’s story. But it isn’t the whole truth… ” a 343 blog post reads. “There’s another hero standing beside Master Chief at the very heart of the Halo universe.”
The Halo Infinite blog goes on to report that your Multiplayer spartan will have a “vital, active role in the Halo story moving forward.” 343 confirms that more content will arrive in the upcoming Halo Infinite Seasons updates, but it’s not ready to reveal anything just yet.
Previously, analyst Roberto Serrano has revealed the Halo Infinite & Call of Duty Vanguard release dates. And he’s even got a date for the huge new PlayStation 2021 event that fans have been waiting for.
Already, Phil Spencer is talking about the future of Halo Infinite in 2021 and beyond, so future Campaigns could be on the agenda.
