Developer 343 Industries is finally looking to fix the frustrating desync that is causing issues in Halo infinite multiplayer lobbies.
Halo fans are absolutely loving the fast-paced multiplayer mode in Infinite so far. However, there are still a few issues that developer 343 Industries has to iron out in upcoming updates.
The desync in Halo Infinite has caused hit detection issues since the game launched, but nothing has been done to address it just yet.
Luckily, the Head of Design at 343 Industries has good news for Halo players who are fed up with desync.
Halo Infinite Desync Fix Could Be Coming Soon
Following news that an anti-cheat update is coming to Halo soon, yet another of the game’s most frustrating issues should also be addressed.
Head of Design at 343 Industries Jerry Hook has tweeted about the ongoing desync issues players have in Halo Infinite multiplayer. This causes hit registration issues which are, quite literally, the difference between life and death.
Desync is also a major factor in why player collision in Halo Infinite feels off sometimes. Therefore, even if it may not be the biggest problem with the game, it still needs a fix.
According to Hook, in addition to tackling the broken Big Team Battle matchmaking, the engineers are now looking at the desync issues in Halo Infinite.
Unfortunately, that is all Hook said in regards to desync. We will have to wait to find out more about this investigation and whether 343 can get to the bottom of this.
Hopefully, 343 finds the cause of the desync issues in Halo Infinite and fixes them promptly. It may not be the biggest problem with Halo right now, but it would be a great improvement that would benefit all players.
In other news, there is plenty of content coming to Halo Infinite in future updates. This includes two upcoming multiplayer events:
- Halo Infinite Tactical Ops Event Rewards & Release Date Leak
- Halo Infinite Cyber Showdown Event Rewards & Release Date Leak
Additionally, leaks have revealed that a number of classic Halo game modes will be coming to Infinite soon. Here’s what we know about Grifball, Infection, and Extraction in Halo Infinite so far.
