Halo Infinite Campaign Reveals Craig’s New Look – 2020 vs 2021 Graphics

Halo Infinite is back with a new Campaign trailer, but most importantly it shows off Craig the Brute’s new look.

Today’s Halo reveal was everything we were expecting, and even some things we weren’t!

For the first time in a year, we finally got to see gameplay of the Halo Infinite Campaign in action, and it looks jaw-dropping. Gone are the days where we were questioning whether Infinite was a next-gen title, as Zeta Halo has had a new overhaul.

This Halo Infinite 2020 vs 2021 graphics comparison does well to show off 343 Industries’ improvements over the last year. But there’s one change that fans weren’t expecting to see in today’s reveal.

Craig the Brute Is Back in Halo Infinite Campaign Trailer

Halo Infinite’s latest Campaign trailer shows off a beautiful open-world, tight shooter gameplay, and Craig the Brute’s new look.

Back in 2020, we saw the introduction of the Craig meme in Halo Infinite’s first Campaign trailer. Taking a close-up of the Halo Infinite brute appearance and dubbing it ‘Craig’, the game’s community has poked fun at the model ever since.

Due to Craig’s flat and lifeless graphics, many used the brute as an example that Halo Infinite wasn’t anything close to a next-gen title. And it wasn’t long after this criticism began that Halo Infinite got a year-long delay to 2021.

Now, as we approach the Halo Infinite release date, Craig is back in the new Campaign trailer. And he’s had a major visual upgrade!

This time around, Craig looks far better than ever before in Halo Infinite. The brute has a more detailed face, greater expression, and a goatee that makes him look less gormless and more threatening.

Finally, Halo Infinite brutes look like vicious enemies that Master Chief can go toe-to-toe with. And that’s not all that’s getting an upgrade either.

Meanwhile, here’s a before and after shot of the leader of the Banished, War Chief Escharum! 343 Industries has clearly spent the last year improving what needed work in last year’s trailer!

But bear in mind that this looks to be just the first part of the Halo Infinite episodic Campaign!

We imagine that Halo’s graphics look even better on the new Limited Edition Halo AMD graphics card. But if you’re a console fan, there’s still one more confirmed chance to get the Halo Infinite Xbox Series X too!
