It’s an exciting time to be a Halo Infinite fan, with 2 back-to-back Technical Preview weekends dropping soon.
Halo Infinite may be releasing late this year, but it’s clear that we’ll still have plenty of chance to go hands-on with the title. Recently, fans had their first chance to jump into the upcoming title in its first Technical Preview – and results were mixed.
On PC, the Halo Infinite experience was a little shaky, with frame rates dipping and graphical performance being weaker than anticipated. However, 343 Industries has made some adjustments, and it’s ready for another run of tests!
On Xbox consoles, at least, the Halo Infinite gameplay ran smoothly and without issue. Let’s hope the experience is the same across the board this weekend!
Unfortunately, those hoping to get the Limited Edition Halo console are in for a disappointment. After all, reports indicate that the Halo Infinite Xbox Series X pre-orders are over for now in the US.
Here’s how to get access to Halo Infinite’s next Tech Previews!
Halo Infinite Tech Preview Dates Revealed
In a new email going out to Halo Insiders, 343 Industries officially reveals the dates of the next 2 Halo Infinite Tech Previews.
This time around, Halo Infinite players will be able to experience Arena PVP, Big Team Battle, and more! The next Halo Infinite Technical Preview will take place from September 23-26.
Our return to the world of Halo Infinite will have us testing out Arena PVP modes. This time, players will be fighting against others online, instead of bots like last time around.
And next weekend we see the debut of Halo Infinite’s Big Team Battle mode, as well as the return of Arena. The third Halo Infinite Tech Preview runs from September 30-October 3!
Halo Infinite Tech Preview Matchmaking Times
Unfortunately, this is still a Technical Preview, not a Halo Infinite Beta. With that in mind, 343 Industries is making matchmaking available only during certain windows.
These are the times when the Halo Infinite Technical Preview will be live. Outside of these windows, Training Mode, Weapon Drills, Battle Pass, and Customization features will still be available.
Since Training Mode will let players face off against AI soldiers on an Arena map of their choice, there’s still plenty to enjoy in-game! But be sure to tune in at the correct times for the best experience.
Since last time around, Halo Infinite has received major changes to bots, weapon drills, radar, and more. We hope to see similar improvements come out of the next 2 Tech Previews.
Given that these upcoming trials are significantly bigger than the last server tests, we imagine there will be more feedback to take on board than ever. But it looks like 343 is still keeping Halo Infinite’s leaked Battle Royale mode behind closed doors for now…
