Rockstar Games have rolled out another GTA Online update, which adds an unusual vehicle and more freebies. Here's what you can expect from the latest update.
Rockstar Games have released a new update for January 21. The update adds a new vehicle and there have been some changes to the Diamond Casino Lucky Wheel too.
The latest and biggest content update to GTA Online is the Cayo Perico Heist. However, Rockstar continually updates its game every week adding new bonuses and new rewards for players to grab.
2021 is going to be an exciting year with plans to roll out a next-gen version of GTA 5 and GTA Online.
Until then, players can look forward to consistent content updates whilst they wait. Here's the rundown of GTA Online's latest update.
GTA Online New Update
The new update brings with it some changes, as well as a few new additions for players.
First of all, there have some changes to the Diamond Casino Lucky Wheel rewards. The latest car to be added is the Peyote Custom, a two-door stylish lowrider.
This car will set you back $620,000 in-game, therefore it's well worth trying to spin the wheel if you fancy picking one up. We wish you luck!
Furthermore, a new weird and wacky vehicle has been added to the game in the form of the Slamtruck.
The Slamtruck is a completely new vehicle that is now available from Southern San Andreas Super Autos.
The truck can be bought for $1.3 million so it's quite the pricy addition to the game, and weirdly more expensive than the Peyote Custom...
The Slamtruck is a car hauler, with a conveniently shaped rear that can act as a ramp.
Players might find that one common side-effect is other players attempting to clear your ramp on the freeway, so be warned!
GTA Online: Bonuses and Rewards
Rockstar's GTA Online update has also changed the bonuses and rewards available to players.
Furthermore, with the new update, there are new featured missions that pay out a higher reward. If you're strapped for cash you should try out the following game-modes for a monetary boost:
- Bunker Sell Missions
- Bunker, Diamond Casino, Missile Base Adversary Modes
All of the listed modes above will feature a double reward for GTA cash and RP. If you're a fan of these particular game modes, act quickly as next week this will likely be changed.
As for featured races, the following will also net you additional rewards and are well worth participating in:
- Premium Race: Cutting Coroners
- Time Trial: LSIA
- RC Time Trial: La Fuente Blanca
Furthermore, the following discounts are available in Rockstar's latest GTA Online update:
- 40% Off: Bunkers, APC, Caracara, Caracara 4×4, GB200
- 30% Off: Bunker Renovations
- 25% Off: Winky
If you're wanting to upgrade your base of operations, you might want to take advantage of the 30% off on bunker renovations for the time being.
GTA Online Log-in Bonus
The GTA Online update also adds a small log-in bonus for players this week. If you log into the game you will be able to pick up the basic Vapid Aged Tee.
Although it might not be the most exciting freebie, considering cars have been given away for free in the past. It's still something to toss in the back of the wardrobe.
Continual GTA Online updates are coming both now and when the next-gen version of the game comes out.
However, you might want to get excited about the possibility of GTA 6. An insider has claimed that GTA 6 'Project Americas' leak is real, amongst other rumors about the game.
Furthermore, the discovery of some Rockstar patents suggests that GTA 6 might have this next-gen feature.
