In the latest trailer for the upcoming Cayo Perico Heist DLC, fans have located what appears to be a teaser for Rockstar Games' much-anticipated GTA 6.
Rockstar is no stranger to embedding subtle clues, hints, and easter eggs into their game series. In fact, they are well renowned for it. To this day, players continue to trawl through the wealth of content and come up with their own discoveries.
With the recent release of the trailer for GTA 5's Cayo Perico Heist Update, eagle-eyed fans have managed to spot a small detail that might point to the existence of GTA 6.
Grand Theft Auto 6 Teaser
Although the trailer for the Cayo Perico update is short, players were able to hone in on one crucial detail in Rockstar's latest surveil.exe trailer.
In the video, Rockstar shows off night-vision drone-footage of a large compound. This will be the new area in which players can take down the infamous drug lord 'El Rubio', and which will finally cater towards solo players.
The footage in the trailer displays, what looks like at first glance, ordinary co-ordinates which read “38.527A N; 79.6129A W.” What might seem quite trivial at first, actually points to the very first GTA 6 teaser.
One fan on Twitter discovered that when these co-ordinates are typed into google maps, it leads to a winding dirt road. this might look awfully familiar if you know your Roman Numerals.
Rockstar Teases GTA 6 Location
Twitter user wellgamer789 was able to discover this very subtle reference to GTA 6. Rockstar's penchant for using the Roman Numeral system is well established. It doesn't seem like too much of a leap to notice then that this resembles the number six.
Interestingly enough, the dirt path featured in the co-ordinate location could also point to where the latest game will be set.
The dirt road in question is actually located in Virginia, USA. Could GTA 6, therefore, be set in this unusual location? Or perhaps Rockstar might be utilizing their 'VI' for a potential Vice City remake? Something fans have been after for a very long time.
Regardless, I'm sure Rockstar is already scheming and planning their next breadcrumb trail to tease players with. We can expect more discoveries in the near future. According to Reddit, GTA: Online could already offer clues to GTA 6 so there might be more discoveries to be unearthed.
Rockstar's latest update will arrive on December 15th. Players will be eagerly scrawling on post-it notes and affixing them to their walls, no doubt.
However, until GTA 6's reveal fans still have a lot of content to look forward to in GTA Online.
