Grind is a recurring game mode introduced to MW2 in the Season 2 update. In Grind, players must collect enemy dog tags after eliminating them and then bank them at one of two locations.
Whichever team reaches the target score first or accumulates the most dog tags by the end of the match wins.
Players can stack dog tags before banking them, allowing them to gain multiple points at once. However, this is a risky play as if you’re eliminated while carrying multiple dog tags, you’ll drop all of them, giving your opponents a huge advantage.
Grind is only one of multiple modes added to MW2 in the Season 2 update. It arrived alongside much needed gameplay improvements and new maps.
Fans can also now play the highly-requested Gun Game mode, which was also added in the Season 2 update.
Grind was initially introduced in COD: Ghosts back in 2013. It has since appeared in a number of other COD games including Infinite Warfare, Mobile, and Modern Warfare. It also appeared in Black Ops 3, however under the name Fracture.

Is Grind Different to Kill Confirmed in MW2?
While Grind shares a lot of similarities with Kill Confirmed, they are two different game modes. Here are all the differences:
- Players can stack dog tags instead of capturing them one at a time.
- Dog tags must be deposited at specific locations before they count towards the point total.
- Players drop all dog tags they current hold when eliminated.
Grind is a good game mode for grinding Battle Pass Tokens. The more you play, the closer you’ll be to unlocking the brand-new ISO Hemlock, KV Broadside and Dual Kodachis weapons in MW2 and Warzone 2.

whoever thought this game mode was a good idea is a terrible human being. Let's take kill confirmed, where people already snipe camp tags, and add a bank for people to prone/corner camp with flaming shotguns... yes, this will be fun....
