Gotham Knights is locked to 30FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X – but is a 60 FPS patch on the way?
One of the most disappointing things about Gotham Knights is that, despite canceling it for last-gen consoles, WB Games Montreal wasn’t able to get the game running at 60 frames per second.
Gotham Knights does not have a Performance Mode, meaning that it’s not able to lower visual fidelity slightly in exchange for a higher frame rate.
Instead, the title is locked to 30 FPS due, the game’s Executive Producer claims, to the presence of a “fully untethered co-op experience in [a] highly detailed open world.”

But could this change in the near future?

Is There Going to Be a 60 FPS Patch for Gotham Knights?
No, right now there has been no word from WB Games Montreal regarding Gotham Knights getting a 60 FPS patch in the future.
If the company is working on it as a response to the backlash, it’s keeping it quiet, with Executive Producer Fleur Marty explaining that it’s not as simple as lowering the resolution and getting a higher FPS.
That’s not to say that a 60 FPS Performance mode won’t ever arrive for the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Often developers do choose to update popular releases with additional options, but it all comes down to whether or not the company deems it’s worth the development time.

How to Play Gotham Knights at 60 FPS Now
The only way to currently experience Gotham Knights at 60 FPS right now is by playing the game on PC.
The game’s PC version has no frame rate restrictions, although you’ll struggle to run it at higher FPS thanks to the game’s hefty system requirements and rough optimization.
Try running these Gotham Knights settings for high frame rate and you’ll finally be flying around Gotham smoothly.
