In the footage, we see just how the game’s first boss battle takes place. Thanks to an issue transporting the iconic Spider-Man villain, the rampaging Rhino gets loose.

Then, Miles must chase Rhino through the new, wintry streets of New York. Eventually, the newest web-slinger on the block ends up on the villain’s shoulders, where he directs the human tank through the insides of a shopping mall.

It’s a great example of Peter and Miles working together as a Spider-Man duo. The original Spider-Man joins in on the action, ensuring that no civilians get in the way of the rampage.

However, it appears that Peter Parker gets put out of action shortly thereafter, and Miles is forced to take the reigns. Stepping in front of his mentor, the superhero unleashes some of his unique powers.

As it turns out, the Venom Punch will prove instrumental in taking down Rhino, but that’s not all Miles Morales can do. The new Spider-Man footage shows off Miles’ invisibility, which is sure to come in handy during stealth gameplay.

Finally, we see the introduction of Spider-Cat, the newest companion to enter the game. After saving the cat, who is also named Spider-Man, Miles gains a faithful new assistant who will even join in the fight in combat.

For those wondering how the web-slinger is handling the move to next-gen, here’s a Spider-Man: Miles Morales PS4 vs PS5 comparison.

And for those who want even more of a look at the new focus on Miles Morales, you’re in luck. We’ve compiled a list of all the Spider-Man: Miles Morales suits revealed so far.

Swinging around the city will never have looked so good.
