Genshin Impact Offers Free Primogems After 2.7 Update Delay

Genshin Impact is offering free primogems to its player base as compensation for the delay of the upcoming 2.7 update.

Genshin Impact just hit an incredible milestone by amassing more than $3 billion since its release. It speaks volumes about the success of the franchise and speaks well about the future of the title.

Despite the success, HoYoverse has found that its upcoming 2.7 Update will release later than expected due to project progress. So far, there has been no new date established as of yet.

Thankfully, HoYoverse is offering compensation to its player base on a weekly basis for the remainder of this delay.

Here’s everything you need to know.

How to Redeem Free Primogems in Genshin Impact for Update 2.7 Delay

Players will be able to redeem their primogems by claiming them from their in-game mail every Wednesday starting on May 11.

To be eligible for this, players will need to have reached Adventure Rank 5 or above by May 11. Players will have until the end of Version 2.6 to claim their compensation.

As of now, no date has been given regarding the Version 2.7 Update, which means that we are unsure of how many primogems players will actually get.

The compensation will be available to claim every Wednesday following May 11 and will include:

  • Primogem – 400
  • Fragile Resin – 1
  • Hero’s Wit – 7
  • Mystic Enhancement Ore – 16
  • Mora – 120,000

If this delay does extend past a few weeks, each mail containing compensation will expire after 30 days. Players that do not claim their compensation by then will be out of luck.

Thankfully, there are still plenty of things to do for players that are anxiously awaiting the new update.

Furthermore, there is still the ongoing web event “New Adventure? Let’s Go!” with plenty of rewards for players to obtain.

And players looking for more of HoYoverse will need to sign up for the upcoming Honkai: Star Rail beta. This new adventure will take players on a turn-based sci-fi adventure with plenty of the same views and character design that we know and love.

If you’re not familiar with Honkai, Fischl is actually a cross-over character from the series!

If you want to get familiar with the other Genshin Impact characters, then knowing when their birthday is can actually net you some great rewards.
