GameStop looks to be the next retailer to try out a PS5 restock in-store on September 30.
Today, Best Buy broke the mold by offering the first major in-store restock of 2021. Thousands of gamers queued up for the massive drop, and left with a new next-gen console.
Now, GameStop appears to be replicating the success with an in-store drop of its own! Let’s hope that the retailer is able to match the incredible Best Buy stock levels in its new restock.
But GameStop isn’t the only place to get a next-gen console this week! Check out our lightning-fast PS5 stock tracker to be in the know the moment they go live:

GameStop In-Store PS5 Restock – September 30
There’s no room for speculation, GameStop is confirming that a PS5 restock will take place on September 30, in-store!
It seems that the major retailer is making its plans known a week in advance this time around. Previously, GameStop has offered early access to next-gen drops to its PowerUp Rewards Pro members, but this time the early bird will get the worm.
“Join us September 30th for an in-store PS5 bundle event,” the GameStop website reports.
It seems that PS5 consoles will be sold exclusively in bundles, in-store at GameStop on September 30. However, you’ll need to be close to a participating retailer to take part.
As of right now, only select GameStop stores in Atlanta, Dallas-Ft. Worth, and New York City are eligible for the in-store PS5 event.
We hope this is just GameStop testing the waters for future in-store restocks. And with both GameStop and Best Buy dropping in-store now, we’re sure others will be quick to follow suit.
After all, some Walmart stores also appear to have PS5s in-store already!
Perhaps the PS5 stock shortage is finally over, as Sony secures more chips at last.
