GameStop Accidentally Announces PS5 Restock Early – January 19

It looks as though GameStop has a new PS5 restock dropping imminently on January 19.

If you’re still in the market for a next-gen console, GameStop has new PS5 bundles up for grabs today. The retailer has been the king of next-gen restocks in recent weeks, with one small caveat.

You’ll need to be a PowerUp Rewards Pro member to take advantage of the upcoming restock, and buyers should prepare for a steep price tag too.

GameStop has been criticized for selling stock exclusively in bundles lately, in order to drive up the price. In fact, it seems that gamers aren’t buying Xbox Series X bundles from GameStop anymore, after the most recent drop was up for well over 24 hours.

Rumor has it that GameStop even took down its bundles manually for the first time, rather than them selling out.

For more restocks coming this week, these are the retailers you need to watch for a PS5!

GameStop PS5 Bundles Restock – January 19

If you’re a GameStop Pro member, it seems that a new PS5 restock is about to go live on January 19.

Earlier this week, GameStop tweeted out a link to an Early Access PS5 bundles restock for Pro members. However, the retailer quickly took down its own post, which had a dead link to upcoming bundles.

It seems that the new GameStop PS5 bundle contains a Red DualSense controller, as well as a PS Plus membership, and a $50 GameStop gift card.

“Hey Pros — ready for that “early access” we’re always talking about? Now’s your chance! We’ve got a limited number of PS5 console bundles available here” the tweet read.

It’s possible that GameStop accidentally posted the announcement early, while setting up for a PS5 restock coming later this week. Or perhaps the tweet was taken down simply because the link was broken.

Either way, we’re keeping a very close eye on the company’s site, and you should be too!

Lately, GameStop has been doing weekly next-gen restocks in-store, and we’re certain another one is on its way. However, the retailer will soon have to reduce the price of its bundles, or sell consoles separately.

After all, demand is finally lowering for Sony’s new console, and stock levels are higher than ever. We’ve even seen PS5 price drops online as scalpers struggle to resell their devices!

The bundles kind of suck, for example they are charging full price for a game that they are selling for a significant discount outside of the bundle, nevermind that I have little interest in yet another CoD game. That said, the bundle can still be had for less than what scalpers are charging and at least you get something to show for the added cost, which while not great, is better than nothing and certainly better than the smug attitude from bottom feeding scalpers.

I just wish you didn't have to be a pro member to get the console. I also wish they didn't sell all the consoles in bundle

How much for the PS5 with one controller

They sell the consoles in bundles, meaning that most of the consoles are sold with maybe a gift card for Gamestop, and then a game. Plus, they calculate the individual prices of whatever they're adding and add it all together, meaning that the price tag will be a little more than usual, but not too much
