MW2 players who paid for the Vault Edition of the game are finding that their free Battle Pass Token Tier Skips are missing after the Season 2 update.
This comes after Activision specifically announced that Vault Edition owners would have their tokens roll over to the next season, provided they finished the Battle Pass.
For those out of the loop, purchasing the Vault Edition of Modern Warfare 2 came with 50 free Battle Pass (55 on PlayStation) Token Tier skips, allowing players to power through their Battle Pass right away.
Seeing as the MW2 Season 2 Battle Pass contains these incredible weapons, fans were looking forward to using their leftover tokens to get ahead.
And in the past, the official Call of Duty blog announced that while remaining Battle Pass tokens will be spent on unclaimed rewards, it’s possible to carry over extra skips to Season 2:
“If you have more Vault Edition Battle Token Tier Skips than rewards remaining in the Battle Pass, any surplus will carry over to the following season,” the still-unedited blog reads.
MW2 Players Are Missing Battle Pass Token Tier Skips
My Tokens did Not carry over, I finished the first Battle Pass by playing online, then purchased the vault edition upgrade which gave me 50 tokens, they have not transferred over. Please Fix

But despite this promise, many gamers are hopping into Season 2 to see that all their remaining Vault Edition Battle Pass Tokens are missing.
Are you guys gonna say anything about players missing their vault edition tokens?

It’s worth noting that the Vault Edition can still be purchased in-game, for those without it. And doing so will immediately provide the 50 Tier Skips as usual.
UPDATE: Raven Software claims that the issue is now fixed, as of a February 16 patch:

But make sure you spend them before Season 3 arrives or they could well go missing again.
At the time of this article’s writing, Activision is yet to comment on the missing Vault Edition Tier Skips. However, a post on the official MW2 Trello Board states that Infinity Ward is currently investigating the token bank issue.
Notably, the developer doesn’t explicitly state that it’s looking into Vault Edition tokens missing specifically.
Only time will tell if Vault Edition players will get their missing Battle Pass Tokens back in MW2 & Warzone 2. If a fix surfaces, we’ll update this article in the section below:
How to Fix Vault Edition Battle Pass Tokens Not Showing Up in MW2 Season 2
There is no fix yet for Vault Edition Battle Pass Tokens going missing MW2 & Warzone 2 Season 2. However, Infinity Ward has announced that it’s looking into resolving the issue.
It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time Vault Edition owners have had issues. Recently, Activision gave out extra Double XP Tokens to Vault Edition players as an apology for several boosts going missing.
