In today’s Pokemon Presents live stream, The Pokemon Company revealed that Mewtwo and Mew are arriving in Tera Raid Battles very soon. But while Mewtwo will be your enemy, Mew is willing to help you out!

Entering this code in the Mystery Gift section of Pokemon S&V will allow you to claim a free Mew in-game.
Mew will only be available to claim for free until September 18, 2023 at 7:59 AM PT / 10:59 AM ET.
How to Get Mew in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
To get a free Mew in Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet, follow these steps:
- Load up Pokemon Scarlet or Violet
- Press X to open the menu
- Select Poke Portal
- Select Mystery Gift
- Choose Get with Code/Password
- Enter code GETY0URMEW
- Choose Mythical Pokemon Mew Gift
- You will then receive a Lvl 5 Mew in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet!
Mew will appear in your Pokemon Boxes immediately, giving you a reliable partner to help battle against Mewtwo.
Your Nintendo Switch must be connected to the internet to receive Mew, and only one can be claimed per person.
Interestingly, your Mew will come with a random Tera Type, which means that every free gift will be unique!
However, there’s no way to choose which Tera Type you get, nor is there any way to re-roll for a better Mew – it’s just the luck of the draw!
If you bring Mew into battle against Mewtwo Tera Raids, your Pokemon will receive a 50% boost in HP and 20% boost to all its other stats.
Mewtwo arrives in Tera Raid Battles on September 1, 2023.
