Who Is Frank in The Last of Us?

Frank is a smuggler and Bill’s partner in The Last of Us. They met almost twenty years before the beginning of the game and joined forces to protect the small town of Lincoln, Massachusetts.

Together, they fortified the town and grew exceptionally close to one another, with a romantic bond between the two being very heavily implied.

It is during this time that Frank meets Joel, the protagonist of The Last of Us, played by another incredibly famous and beloved actor.

In the 2013 The Last of Us video game, Frank isn’t played by anyone. He is first mentioned by Bill and in notes but is later found dead in his house by Joel, Ellie, and Bill.

What Happens to Frank in The Last of Us?

In The Last of Us TV show, after living with Bill for 16 years, Frank becomes very ill. He decides to end his life but wants to marry Bill first.

After getting married, they have a final meal together before putting enough crushed-up pills to kill them in their wine. Tragically, they die together in Bill’s house.

In the video game, Frank grows tired of Bill after living with him for twenty years. So, he decides to abandon him with the intention of being smuggled into the Boston QZ.

However, while attempting to steal a car battery, he is bitten by an Infected and forced to run away. In fear of becoming one of them, he sadly chooses to end his life.

Frank isn’t the only character to die this way, as his death is akin to the grizzly fate that befalls another character in The Last of Us TV show.
