A new throwable item has landed in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4, as players can now find the Shield Breaker EMP as part of the game’s loot pool.

Where to Find Shield Breaker EMP in Fortnite
The Shield Breaker EMP can be found in the following:
- Chests
- Heist Bags
- Ground Loot
There is no guaranteed method to receive this throwable item; obtaining it will ultimately depend on luck.
However, we found that it is a much more common loot drop when opening Heist Bags found in the three Vault locations.
How to Use Shield Breaker EMP in Fortnite
To use the Shield Breaker EMP, you need to toss it at one of the following:
- Laser Grids
- Defense Turrets
- Cameras
- Business Turrets
- Vehicles
- Vending Machines
- Hot Spot Drones
- Shield Bubbles
- Enemy players
- Fishing Holes
Throwing it at players will specifically target their Shield points up to a total of 70. It will not do any damage to their standard HP.
Additionally, throwing it at any of the other options will result in those electronics being temporarily disabled for 25 seconds.
Players will be able to hold a maximum of 6 per stack. If you wish to carry any more, you must use another slot in your hotbar.
