The Fortnite Season 5 Week 8 Challenges have finally arrived. Here's all the information you need on how to complete the list and earn max XP.
As Chapter 2 Season 5 of Epic Games' Fortnite rolls along, there's a new set of weekly challenges. These weekly quests can be all-important when trying to complete the seasonal Battle Pass.
Weekly challenges are a great way to quickly earn XP and keep clearing the Battle Pass levels. You'll have until Thursday, January 28 to complete this week's set, so follow along for everything you need to know.
The main focus of Week 8's challenges stems from visiting different farms throughout the island. Additionally you'll need to deal damage with specific weapons and blow up certain map objects.
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5, Week 8 Challenges
Here are the seven quests for the seven days of Season 5 Week 8:
- Distance traveled Gliding (3,500)
- Deal damage with a Pistol (250)
- Destroy apple and tomato produce boxes at The Orchard Farmers Market (3)
- Drive a car through the corn field at Steel Farm (1)
- Deliver a truck to Sunflower’s Farm (1)
- Collect Gold Bars (500)
- Blow up a gas pump (1)
These will be crucial in your push towards Level 100 on the Battle Pass, which will unlock the elite armor for The Mandalorian. Many of these challenges will complete themselves as a by-product of running Battle Royale.
The distance traveled Gliding, and Collecting of Gold Bars will likely be complete after just a few games of Fortnite. So let's look into some of the more taxing challenges.
To safely complete the Pistol damage quest, your best bet is to light up some guards. They won't have great aim when firing back so your chances of being eliminated are far lower.
The gas pump challenge shouldn't be an issue either. Just make sure to stand far enough away when shooting to avoid taking damage when it finally explodes.
Farm-related challenges could prove a bit more difficult simply due to map location. This will likely take multiple games to fully complete the Fortnite Season 5 Week 8 Challenges.
How to Complete Season 5 Week 8 Legendary Challenge
- Eat Fish (10/20/30/40/50)
To earn a grand 55,500 XP gamers will need to eat a pallet of fish. It will take 50 meals total, so make sure to have a rod or harpoon gun handy.

You can also throw grenades or shoot other explosives into the water to fish. Some of the 50 fish will prove to be a bit harder to find, so stay patient as you cast your line.
