If you’re looking to complete the ‘Search Safes and Holo Chests’ quest, or you’re short on Gold Bars, here’s where to find all Safes in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4.

Ever since Gold Bars were introduced back in Chapter 2 Season 5, they’ve been an important part of Fortnite gameplay.

In Chapter 4 Season 4, Bars are necessary to purchase items, hire characters, upgrade weaponry, use vending machines and more.

And if you’re short on cash, the best way to get some is by Safe-cracking!

Where to Find Safes in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4

Safes are found scattered all throughout the Fortnite map, usually inside shops or homes.

The best place to find Safes in Fortnite are Creeky Compound and Brutal Bastion as those POIs contain 6 and 8 Safes respectively.

All Fortnite Safes appear in the same locations each game. Strangely though, despite the season’s new heist locations being a great source of loot, only Relentless Retreat actually contains Safes to crack.

Players looking to search Safes in Fortnite should instead look in areas such as the buildings to the east of Breakwater Bay, most of which contain a Safe to loot.

How to Search Safes in Fortnite

To open Fortnite Safes and search for Gold Bars, simply approach them and hold the interact button: Square / X / Y / E.

You do not need a Key to open a Safe in Fortnite. Instead, simply hold interact for around 6-7 seconds until the circle fills up. This can be sped up by multiple players attempting to open the same Safe.

Once a Safe opens, it will contain a minimum of 131 Gold Bars.
