Fortnite is getting a new Rocket League Racing playlist in Chapter 5 – here’s everything you need to know about the mode!
Right now, Fortnite is time-traveling back to Chapter 1 for its latest season, but leaks indicate that we’ll soon be back to a world of rocket-powered vehicles.
This isn’t the first time a Rocket League car has come to Fortnite, as Creative mode players have had access to the Octane for some time.
But now it appears that all the game’s cars may be making the jump to Fortnite in a new Rocket League Racing mode!
Fortnite x Rocket League Racing Mode Release Date
Fortnite’s Rocket League Racing mode is leaked to release in Chapter 5, which will reportedly arrive in December 2023.
However, we don’t know that the mode will drop in Chapter 5 Season 1, so fans of rocket-powered vehicles may need to wait until later in 2024.
Before the new Chapter begins, players will first return to the Fortnite Chapter 1 map in the game’s shortest-ever season!

According to leaker NotJulesDev, players will be able to port their Rocket League vehicles directly into Fortnite and even customize them in a new Garage feature.
It’s unclear as to whether collaboration vehicles such as the Batmobile or Delorean will make the jump.
Nintendo even has some exclusive Mario-themed content in Rocket League – which would be Nintendo’s first reference inside of Fortnite if it can be ported over!

A Rocket League Racing mode has actually been leaked to be in the works for some time, but many fans anticipated that it would debut in… well, Rocket League.
However, it seems that Epic Games is prioritizing Fortnite, with its new Unreal Editor (Creative 2.0) mode.
Rocket League also recently removed player trading, stating:
“This opens up future plans for some Rocket League vehicles to come to other Epic games over time”
It seems we finally know exactly why that unpopular change was made… And while we can’t wait to get racing inside Fortnite, we certainly feel for the Rocket League fan base.
