Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 is here, and with it comes one of the most potent new weapons the island has ever seen, including the return of a one shot headshot weapon.
Every time Fortnite brings a new chapter, it also brings many changes. Chapter 4 brought a complete visual overhaul to its island and some exciting new mechanics and weapons.
One of those weapons quickly climbed the ladder of most powerful items in Fortnite.
Fortnite One Shot Headshots Return With Unvaulted Weapon
Players can again eliminate enemy players with one shot headshots with the newly introduced Grappler Bow in Fortnite Chapter 4.
A headshot with a fully drawn-out shot using the Grappler Bow does 222 damage. This means that even if an enemy player is fully healed and shielded, one headshot is enough to eliminate them.

The Grappler Bow is one of the recently unvaulted weapons in Fortnite Chapter 4. Although since it is a bow, it’s a bit more difficult to use than other weapons.
Players must aim their bow and hold the fire button (R2 on PlayStation, RT on Xbox, and Left Mouse button on PC) until it is fully drawn. Once fully drawn, they’ll need to aim for an enemy’s head while considering the arrow’s drop distance.
Due to how difficult it is to get the full effect of the Grappler Bow, it doesn’t rank too high on the Fortnite Chapter 4 Weapon Tier List.
Although, players that can use its high damage potential effectively will finish matches with higher elimination counts.
What is The Grappler Bow in Fortnite?
The Grappler Bow is an exotic bow in Fortnite that can deal up to 222 damage with one headshot. It can be found around the map or by purchasing it from Princess Felicity Fish, west of The Citadel.
It was first introduced in Chapter 2: Season 6 and is now back in Chapter 4: Season 1.
The Grappler Bow has the following stats:
- DPS – 178
- Damage – 178
- Fire Rate – 1
- Magazine Size – 1
- Reload Time – 1.02 Seconds

The Grappler Bow is the only weapon that can one-shot enemy players in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1. A headshot with this weapon does 222 damage.
Every other weapon in Fortnite requires at least two shots to down a fully shielded enemy.
Although, it might be difficult to use this weapon when playing Fortnite Zero Build. Thankfully, there are plenty of other weapons that can dominate Fortnite Zero Build in Chapter 4 Season 1.
