The Fortnite Summer update brought with it some major changes to the game’s map.
If you’ve been looking forward to the annual Fortnite Summer event, you’re in luck. No Sweat Summer has come and gone, but it’s left some big changes to one area in particular.
The area to the East of Sanctuary, featuring the island’s sandiest beaches, is getting a major upgrade. Here’s what’s new:
All Changes in Fortnite Summer Update
New Skatepark
Construction on the Skatepark is finally complete, and players can find the minor POI floating in the water near the statue legs. However, despite the island now having a skatepark to check out, skating hasn’t made an appearance just yet.

Although evidence certainly suggested that the feature would be coming, now that the Summer event is over we gather that the idea was likely scrapped.
Concert Stage POI
It looks like another musical event could be on the way to Fortnite as a concert stage has also arrived in the waters East of Sanctuary. Head to the beach and you’ll be able to see the new stage in all its glory.

But who could be performing in Fortnite this time around? Rumors are circulating that Lady Gaga or Juice WRLD could be coming to the game as part of a Summer event, but evidence so far is shaky.

Fireworks Display Event
As shown off by HYPEX in the clip below, a new firework display event now occurs a few minutes into every game. A series of colorful fireworks light up the sky, and they’re visible from far and wide.
And that’s unlikely to be the last update coming to the Fortnite No Sweat Summer event!
Don’t forget that before the end of summer, we’ll be getting a new Dragon Ball Z collaboration in Fornite!
