Fans have been clamoring for an official first-person mode to be added to the Fortnite Battle Royale mode for quite some time. Now, their wish may finally be coming true.

The much-requested first-person mode is allegedly coming to Fortnite in Chapter 4 Season 2. This is according to a number of prominent Fortnite leakers, including HYPEX, Shiina, and iFireMonkey.

Of course, this doesn’t confirm that a first-person mode will be coming. However, the sheer number of leakers backing up this claim gives it a lot of credence.

Leakers have also discovered that a highly anticipated anime character may be coming to Fortnite in Chapter 4 Season 2.

Leakers TSG and Shiina first discovered files for a first-person mode in Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode shortly after the 23.30v update dropped.

However, more recently, leakers have begun revealing information regarding the upcoming Chapter 4 Season 2, including the likelihood of a first-person mode being finally introduced.

Of course, the first-person mode has been a staple of Fortnite for a while. It is accessible in both the Save the World and Creative modes.

But, while some guns in Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode do switch to first-person when aiming, it is otherwise impossible to play in first-person.

When Is First-Person Mode Coming to Fortnite?

There is currently no confirmed date for the release of a first-person mode in the Fortnite Battle Royale mode.

However, if the leaks end up being true, then it is likely arriving at the beginning of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 on March 10.

Additionally, Fortnite leaker Shiina encountered a bug that allowed them to access the first-person mode. This was back when the first-person files were initially discovered back in January 2023.

While the first-person mode accessed via the bug wasn’t finalized or polished, it gave fans an indication of what the feature would look like when officially implemented.
