A Call of Duty dataminer has leaked a new image online, giving us our first look at the supposed new Warzone 2 Resurgence map, Vondel.
Earlier this year, leaks of an alleged upcoming Warzone 2 Resurgence map set in the Netherlands appeared online.
But with this image, players are getting their first look at what that supposed map may look like in-game.
Warzone 2 “Vondel” Resurgence Map Image Leaks
BKTOOR, a Call of Duty data miner, has just revealed what is allegedly the first look at the upcoming Warzone 2 Resurgence map, Vondel.
The image continues a brighter color palette than we’ve seen in both Al Mazrah and Ashika Island. It also appears to have a more suburban feel to it.
We can see a windmill of sorts in the surroundings, with plenty of buildings in its vicinity. It appears to show a small town with plenty of trees.
This aligns with previous reports that stated the name of the map, “Vondel,” would relate to the large public park in the Netherlands’ capital.
This could also more closely resemble the likes of Verdansk from the original Warzone since this is rumored to be the first Resurgence map not set on an island.
But as of right now, these are just rumors. It is worth noting that these data miners have correctly predicted various additions to Warzone 2.
If the leaks are correct, we could possibly see this new map in Warzone 2 as early as August 2023. This would also align with other reports that August is gearing up to be a huge month for Call of Duty.
Various sources have suggested that Activision will announce COD 2023 in August in a Warzone 2 in-game event.
So it wouldn’t be too surprising to see something like a new Warzone 2 map added to the game around the same time to build up hype for the next installment in the series.
