A new early round strategy for the latest Black Ops Cold War Zombies map, Firebase Z, has been discovered.
Firebase Z has been popular since it dropped recently. Players everywhere have been searching for new strategies to carry them through the rounds and to the exciting new Orda boss fight.
Of course, there are strategies that help you plow your way all the way to the higher rounds. It's the aim of the game for many players, and naturally, a strategy has already been discovered for it. Here's our guide to surviving Firebase Z's higher rounds.
But, you need to get to those higher rounds in the first place. Luckily, a new strategy has been discovered to help you get through those early waves. Plus, you can rack up some points in the process.
Firebase Z's New Early Round Strategy
A new strategy for surviving those early rounds has been discovered by a Zombies player, posting a clip of their process on the CODZombies subreddit.
The video shows the player standing on a roof, while zombies try to climb up and attack him in front of him. The player is speedily using melee attacks to quell the zombie horde from reaching him as they try to climb onto the roof.
This is a strategy that seems to be working nicely, as the player is on round five in the clip, and has already racked up more than 7000 points. It's a great strategy to rack up some points before moving on to switch on the power and fight through the higher rounds.
The title of the clip seems to suggest that the strategy won't work if the power is on, presumably because the zombies will get faster and tougher.
But, there is a slight caveat to put this trick to use. In order to get up on the roof the player is sitting on, you'll need to perform some parkour. Don't worry; here's how you can do it yourself.
Firebase Z's Parkour Trick
In order to perform this strategy, you'll have to put your platforming skills to the test. It's a parkour trick that's been popular with players, as it means you can escape the spawn room without having to buy any doors in the process.
First, go to the room with the Quick Revive machine in it. If you follow the corridor to your left, you'll be able to see an opening that leads back to the street outside.
At the end of the room, you'll see an opening that points to a balcony that looks just outside of your reach.
Luckily, if your jumping skills are up to snuff, it won't be. Run and jump towards the balcony. You may need to give it a few tries, as the jump is almost pixel-perfect.
However, once you're up, it's easy from here. Turn around to face the tin roof that hangs over the spot you just jumped from, and hop to it.
It's in this location that the clip takes place. If you like though, you can use this trick to head over to the roof with the teleporter on it.
If you choose to take on this early round strategy though, stay on this first roof's left edge. This is where the zombies will try to jump up to attack you, and you can simply melee them down.
This is a trick that will make your early games much simpler and will help you rack up points fast.
Firebase Z is rife with little secrets to help make your game easier. You can get Juggernog completely free, plus the new Zombies perk Tombstone Soda is spicing up games.
